This is a fantastic recipe when you're feeding several people. Not only is it visually appealing, it also goes really far & it's a quick meal!
Ingredients:
(feeds 12)
5lb bag of red potatoes, halved
12 ears of corn, halved
2 pckg Sausage Works Smoked Sausage
2 lbs of shrimp, peeled w/tails on
Old Bay Seasoning
Making the Low Country Boil:
1. Fill a large stock pot with water & a generous amount of Old Bay seasoning.
2. Once water is boiling, add potatoes & cook for about 6-8 minutes
3. Next add in corn and continue cooking for another 6-8 minutes
4. Next place the smoked sausage in the pot for about 5 minutes (since it's already cooked, you're adding it just to get the flavors infused)
5. Finally, add in the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes
6. Drain the water OR I like to use a large hand strainer to remove the potatoes, corn, sausage & shrimp.
7. To plate, I like to place the potatoes first, then alternate adding corn & sauage then tuck the shrimp in wherever you find space!
